document.write('Children belong in the worship of God.  In the Bible, we find  children participating in the life and worship of the people  of  God.  I remind you of the words of 2 Chronicles 20:13 (which I  read last week), \"Meanwhile all Judah stood before the Lord,  with  their little ones, their wives, and their children.\"   Worship is not adults-only time.  Children have a place in the  assembly of the Lord--even if they don\'t yet understand what  is happening.   Now once we realize this, there are certain difficulties that  arise.  Babies cry.  Small children have various needs.  There  will be distractions.  There will be times when the children  have  to be taken out of the service. Having children in the worship  service can be a lot of work at times--especially for parents.   For a parent, having your children with you in the service can  be  very challenging, and even trying.  There might even be times  when  you think \"I\'m so busy with my children, that I don\'t feel  like  I\'m able to worship. I\'m not able to closely follow the  service  and participate.\"   But remember, participation in worship is not only about  singing  the songs, and being able to follow the sermon.     For the Christian parent, participation in a worship service  is  going to involve some new things.  It\'s going to mean taking  your  children out of the service (perhaps multiple times) for  diapers, or for correction.  It\'s going to mean explaining  things  to your children from your seat so that they can better  understand  what is happening.  It\'s going to mean holding up a hymnal for  your child, or teaching them to lift up their hands at the  Gloria  Patri, or teaching them to bow their heads for prayer.   Parents, you might not always be able to follow the worship  service as closely as you might like.  But don\'t think that  you  are not participating in worship.  This IS participation in  worship.  As you faithfully parent your children during the  service, it is part of your spiritual sacrifice which the Lord  is  pleased to receive.');

King David is saying in this inspired Psalm  that  the greatest desire of his heart is to be in the place of  worship  and in the presence of the Lord all the days of his life. He  is  saying, \"I want to approach the Lord in worship every single  day!\"  This is what worship should be like for us. The \"one thing\"  that  all of us should desire is to dwell in the Lord\'s house all of  our  lives. There is no greater thing than to be before the Lord in  worship. It is a beautiful thing to come before him singing  Psalms, offering prayers, and hearing his word in the Spirit- filled fellowship of his people. Is this the desire of your  heart?  This is what we have come to do this morning. We have come  here  this morning to experience the ONE THING that King David  sought  after. We have come here to gaze by faith upon the beauty of  the  Lord.  May we all taste and see that the Lord is good!');
